As part of the Chinese New Year festivities, Shanghai's Chongming district will host more than 70 diverse events, creating a vibrant New Year atmosphere for both residents and tourists.

Many celebrations will commence ahead of the Spring Festival, which falls on February 10, and extend until the Lantern Festival on February 24.

Key commercial areas, markets, and industrial clusters will give away many Spring Festival decorations, including couplets, Fu characters, and New Year paintings.

Cultural and tourism enterprises within the district will provide various vouchers, encompassing accommodations, tickets to scenic sites, consumption, and even complimentary trial vouchers for select homestays.

For the Lantern Festival, approximately 100 calligraphers and painters will gather along with an exhibition showcasing intangible cultural heritage and folk arts.

Companies are further urged to organize shopping festivals for New Year purchases and food festivals, implementing promotional strategies like discounts and lucky drawings to enhance the festive spirit.
