The resort features a total construction area of 350,000 square meters and an investment of nearly 7 billion yuan ($970 million). It encompasses a mega indoor ski re
sort, an all-weather water park, three resort hotels, a multi-functional exhibition center, and an ice and snow-themed commercial town. Upon completion, it will become a comprehensive destination for ice and snow vacations.
Spanning approximately 90,000 square meters, it will be the world's largest indoor ski resort upon completion, four times larger than the renowned SkiDubai in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
It is primarily designed with Nordic-style elements and features a 60-meter vertical drop, equivalent to a 20-story building.
Its nearly 1,200-meter-long snow track is divided into intermediate, advanced, and S-shaped lanes, with the S-lane being China's first 3D stereoscopic snow track.
Additionally, there is China's first indoor snow train, a standard ice rink exceeding 1,800 sq m, and over 20 snow-based entertainment programs, ensuring a fun experience for non-skiers.

Wintastar Shanghai also features a world-class all-weather Viking-themed water park, complete with pools and lava hills creating a visual contrast of ice and fire. Spanning two floors, the water park boasts a rare six-person family raft coaster.
The resort has three resort hotels with nearly 1,000 uniquely themed guest rooms, including the InterContinental-affiliated Shanghai Ice and Snow World Vignette Collection Hotel and the Shanghai Ice and Snow World Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The Vignette Collection Hotel has 16 ski suites, the first of their kind in China. Guests staying in these suites can directly access the ski resort from their rooms. Additionally, there are seven igloo suites intricately designed by ice sculptors, a unique offering in the country.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel focuses more on entertainment, leisure, and family vacations, equipped with facilities such as a kids' club, a gym, and an all-day restaurant capable of accommodating 300 people.
Close to the hotels will also be an ice and snow-themed town, offering a global culinary experience alongside a variety of themed activities and unique performances.
