China's first intelligent robot pilot testing platform has been inaugurated in Shanghai, marking a significant milestone in the application of intelligent robots in the country.

The platform, a collaboration between the China Center for Information Industry Development and the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, was unveiled at the Shanghai Intelligent Robot Conference on March 23.

Pilot testing plays a crucial role in transitioning technological breakthroughs from the laboratory to practical applications.

The primary goal of the pilot testing platform, located in Shanghai's Minhang district, is to advance the development of intelligent robot standardized testing through real-world scenarios. It is expected to expand its influence across the Yangtze River Delta region.

Moreover, the conference also released the 2023 Shanghai Intelligent Robot Benchmark Enterprises and Application Scenario Recommendation Catalog to facilitate the accelerated integration of intelligent robots and application scenarios. The catalog covers 10 major scenarios that guide the industry's development.

Additionally, the conference introduced the Yangtze River Delta Intelligent Robot Industry Chain Cooperation Alliance, led by the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Research Institute. The alliance comprises industrial parks, financial institutions, and upstream and downstream enterprises in key components, software algorithms, ontology manufacturing, system integration, and other sectors.
