Shanghai sets eyes on economic growth, expat services
Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng emphasized the critical importance of keeping eyes on the goals and enhancing operational efficiency to drive the city's high-quality economic development during an executive meeting of the Shanghai Municipal Government on March 25.
Gong also underscored the necessity of integrating and optimizing the city's English websites to bolster the city's expat services.
The meeting highlighted the city's stable economic performance this year and stressed the need for comprehensive implementation and effective strategies to meet the city's quarterly and annual economic growth targets. It further emphasized the importance of stabilizing industrial growth, accelerating the development of the financial sector, and promptly executing national initiatives for equipment upgrades and consumer goods replacement.
Additionally, the meeting called for early planning for the May 5 Shopping Festival and effective implementation of the "Key Enterprise Service Package System", a comprehensive institutional framework tailored to meet the specific needs of vital enterprises, ensuring their smooth operation and growth.
Furthermore, the meeting approved the implementation plan for integrating and enhancing the services of the city's municipal English language websites to provide streamlined services for foreign nationals and continuously improve the satisfaction of foreign-funded enterprises and expatriates.
