China's leading online travel service Ctrip Group has teamed up with China Unicom to launch mobile internet solutions tailored for inbound tourists, enabling them to enjoy convenient, preferential, and high-speed mobile network services upon arriving in China.

The services, which are available through Trip.com,, allow overseas tourists and short-term business travelers from around the world to conveniently purchase more cost-effective, higher-quality domestic communication services in China. They can complete the setup while overseas and use the service immediately upon entry into China. This solution fully meets the communication service needs of different tourist groups in shopping, sightseeing, and payment, eliminating communication blind spots upon entry and enabling them to travel freely and efficiently throughout the country.

China has been experiencing a surge in inbound tourism. Data from the National Immigration Administration showed that the number of foreigners entering China in the first quarter has increased by over three times compared to the same period in 2023. Shanghai, as one of the premium destinations for inbound tourism, received nearly 1.2 million inbound foreign passengers from January to March, registering a 6.9-fold year-on-year increase.

To facilitate more convenient and efficient services for inbound foreign visitors, Ctrip has also launched a multilingual China travel guide, providing overseas users with a comprehensive reference guide covering entry procedures, public transportation, hotel reservations, popular attractions, and restaurants.

The Shanghai-based travel service has also introduced special offers to 20 popular destinations in China, such as Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong's capital city Guangzhou, and Shaanxi province’s capital of Xi'an, home of the terracotta warriors.

Regarding ticket reservations, Trip.com has partnered with over 600 of the top domestic attractions in China, supporting online bookings and providing multilingual support as well as over 30 different foreign currency payment options.
