The Shanghai Inbound Tourism Marketing Center, a collaborative effort between the China Tourism Group Travel Services, Shanghai Jiushi Travel (Group), and Shanghai Jinjiang International Travel, was unveiled during the "Visit Shanghai" themed celebration on China Tourism Day, May 19.
The center aims to bolster the development and interaction between inbound and outbound tourism, enhance the quality of inbound tourism services, unlock the potential for new growth in the inbound tourism sector, and position Shanghai as a globally renowned tourism destination and as a premier gateway for inbound tourism in China, announced the center at the signing ceremony.
By leveraging Shanghai's rich cultural and tourism resources, the center will focus on curating new inbound tourism products and services, including bespoke tourism routes that are infused with Shanghai's distinctive history, culture, and architectural marvels.
Furthermore, thanks to the introduction of facilitative policies, such as visa-free transit within 144 hours, the center is positioned to lead and support the development of inbound tourism in the Yangtze River Delta region.
