7th CIIE to feature new materials special section
The China International Import Expo Bureau on May 29 announced a new special section for new materials at the seventh CIIE. Representatives from nearly 40 enterprises attended the ceremony.
Li Guoqing, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that the section will serve as a premier platform for showcasing new products, trends, and innovations in the new materials industry.
According to Li, exhibitors that have affirmed to participate in the new materials special section include Fortune Global 500 companies, industry leaders and hidden champions from countries such as the United States, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Brazil, and Italy.
Li also emphasized that previous CIIE editions have showcased thousands of materials and solutions from various industries, and that the first order during the sixth CIIE, worth $300 million, was related to the new materials sector. As of May 29, the booked exhibition space for the business exhibition of the seventh CIIE has exceeded 300,000 square meters, Li added.
Attendees expressed optimism that the new materials special section will attract more cutting-edge companies and provide industry professionals with an opportunity to observe global trends in new materials technology. Honeywell and Dow, as members of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance, promised that they will leverage their influence to encourage more high-quality enterprises to participate in the expo.
Eight companies, including Nippon Paint, Invista, and Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, signed up to participate in the seventh CIIE during the event.
