Polish president receives gift from Fudan University
On June 26, Polish President Andrzej Duda visited Fudan University, where he received a gift – an English edition of An Intellectual History of China by Professor Ge Zhaoguang.

Inside the Yuan Tianfan Auditorium at the Guanghua Tower, a red backdrop displayed both Chinese and Polish text to welcome Duda. Additionally, Chinese and Polish flags were placed on both sides of the stage.
At 10:35 am, over 100 Fudan students greeted Duda with a standing ovation and thunderous applause as he entered the venue.

"I'm very excited to listen to President Duda's speech and his introduction to Poland's development," said one of the students.
Other students expressed hopes for more educational cooperation and academic exchanges between China and Poland, as well as more chances to study in Poland.
Qiu Xin, Party secretary of Fudan University, welcomed Duda's visit.
"With the support from President Duda, we look forward to establishing and enhancing partnerships with more top universities in Poland. We hope to boost academic cooperation, promote youth exchanges, and write new chapters of friendship between the two peoples," stated Qiu.

When meeting Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining on June 25, Duda expressed expectations for further cooperation in fields such as trade, agriculture, and consumption. He also highlighted expanding new cooperation channels in technological innovation, talent development, and fostering new quality productive forces.
Duda visited China from June 22 to 26. Before coming to Fudan University, he attended the China-Poland Business and Investment Forum and delivered a keynote speech. After concluding his visit to Fudan, Duda continued his tour in Shanghai.
Duda's visit came two years after his attendance at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Olympic Winter Games.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Poland, one of the first countries to recognize New China.
