The first luggage storage lockers for Shanghai Metro have been installed in major stations to provide convenience for short-term travelers. 

The metro stations where the storage lockers have been installed are East Nanjing Road, Yuyuan Garden, People's Square, Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2, South Shaanxi Road, and Shanghai Railway Station.

Each set of storage lockers includes small, medium, and large-sized storage boxes. The small-sized box can accommodate a backpack, the medium-sized one can hold a 20-inch suitcase, and the large one can accommodate a 28-inch suitcase.

"If I can store our luggage in the subway, I don't need to rush to the hotel first. I can store the luggage here and head straight to go shopping," said one traveler surnamed Zou from Ningxia Hui autonomous region.

The storage lockers are still being tested. Passengers will be able to view locations, time slots, and other information related to the storage service through the "Metro大都会" app or the mini-program of the storage locker service provider.
