Shanghai's Cool Docks came alive with cultural vibrancy as the "Enjoy China" Shanghai Cruise Culture Exhibition launched on Aug 2.

The exhibition, which aims to showcase Shanghai's maritime legacy and contemporary art scene through immersive experiences, is part of the Shanghai International Cruise Festival (SICF), one of the major events during the Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season.

This festival underscores Shanghai's pivotal role in the global cruise sector, bringing together industry leaders, tourism agencies, cultural organizations, and enthusiasts. The festival features a variety of activities, including exhibitions, forums, cultural performances, and culinary experiences.

Key highlights of the cruise exhibition include an art exhibition in celebration of the 180th anniversary of the birth of Chinese painter Wu Changshuo (1844 to 1927), a cruise photography exhibition, and a cruise ship model showcase. These exhibitions provide deep insights into the history and unique cultures of various cruise companies such as China Cruises, Astro Ocean Cruise, and Nanhai Cruises, emphasizing their global maritime contributions.

Starting on Aug 10, an outdoor photography zone will be open to the public, giving people an opportunity to capture some picturesque views.
