Shanghai has launched 10 tailor-made shuttle routes to facilitate the return of students as the new academic year begins to 21 university campuses, including those in Songjiang district and Pudong's Lin-gang Special Area.

This initiative, guided by the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission is part of the "Suishenxing (in Chinese: 随申行)" mobility as a service platform. The platform aggregates travel information from Shanghai's major transportation hubs to 149 campuses across 69 universities.

The 10 new shuttle routes originate from the Hongqiao transportation hub, Shanghai Railway Station, and Pudong International Airport, providing direct, seamless transportation to campuses in university towns in the Caolu town and Lin-gang Special Area in Pudong New Area, as well as in Fengxian, Minhang, and Songjiang districts.

In addition to these point-to-point services, the platform also offers detailed information on various university-specific shuttle lines for freshmen, including direct routes from transportation hubs and combined metro and shuttle options.

From now through Sept 30, students can access the portal via the "Suishenxing" app or WeChat mini-program. By selecting a departure hub and destination campus, users can view available travel options, including tailor-made shuttle routes and public transportation plans. The platform allows for easy ticket booking and provides e-tickets along with guidance to designated boarding areas.
