The Shanghai Mid-Autumn Auto Shopping Festival kicked off on Sept 17 in the Jiading district of the city, aiming to boost the auto trade with upgraded policies and paired services.

For buyers who purchase a new car, if their old new energy vehicles are purchased before April 30, 2018, or are fuel-efficient cars, they can get a subsidy between 15,000-20,000 yuan ($2,218-$2,838).

For buyers who plan to buy their first cars, various brands have rolled out direct price reductions or more paired services to embrace their needs.

In celebration of the shopping festival, local auto sales companies have launched a slew of popular car models and distinctive services – in a bid to entice customers with a range of attractive offerings and promotions.

Among the standout promotions, Aokangda has introduced a Porsche mega discount exchange program, allowing customers to acquire nearly new models at less than 50 percent of the original price.

Meanwhile, Volvo has unveiled a comprehensive lineup of incentives –including preferential purchase tax subsidies across all models and complimentary brand-specific charging stations for new energy vehicles.

Customers opting for Volvo's electric or hybrid models can also enjoy trade-in subsidies of up to 40,000 yuan.

Not to be outdone, SAIC Volkswagen has launched a all-encompassing trade-in subsidy program, offering up to 35,000 yuan in comprehensive subsidies for customers looking to upgrade to newer models.

The brand has also introduced a lifetime quality guarantee for the powertrain of all fuel-powered vehicles, along with limited-time special pricing for select popular models.

In a concerted effort to optimize financial support for automotive consumers, financial institutions like Industrial and Commercial Bank of China have stepped up to offer tailored solutions and services that streamline the car purchasing process.

Furthermore, Pacific Insurance has rolled out a range of innovative products – including comprehensive driver and passenger insurance packages – along with complementary value-added services.
