Ahead of World Mental Health Day, Lululemon unveiled "The Wellbeing Garden" at the Shanghai Start Museum to enhance its engagement with local communities and raise awareness on health and wellbeing.

The Wellbeing Garden in Shanghai, open from Oct 8 until Oct 13, is aimed at transforming the iconic Shanghai art space into an immersive exploration of one's "Inner Garden".

The week-long program features events, including fitness and wellness classes led by Lululemon Ambassadors and partner studios.

At the opening ceremony, actress Celina Jade led a meditation session, followed by a performance from the Shanghai D.LAB Dance group. The dance emphasized the importance of unlocking one's inner peace and well-being through movement, a central theme of this year's World Mental Health Day campaign.

"Our vision is to create greater possibilities for well-being through mindful movement, supported by products designed with a 'made to feel' philosophy," said Calvin McDonald, CEO of Lululemon.

"The Wellbeing Garden is a metaphor for the 'inner garden' within all of us, which can be nurtured and unlocked through physical activity. Our goal is to inspire people nationwide to live active, healthy lives."

The garden features four themed sections—yoga, running, training, and recovery—each represented by specific flowers symbolizing the emotions and characteristics of these activities.

The Recovery Garden includes an immersive soundscape created by Graphic Rewilding, offering a guided meditation led by Celina Jade.

Throughout October, Lululemon will expand its well-being initiative to nine cities across China, including Beijing, Chengdu in Sichuan province and Shenzhen in Guangdong province, offering community wellness activities. Registration is available via the company's WeChat Mini Program.
