Jinqiao hosts Lantern Festival celebration for expats

Standing as an influential cultural event in the area, the Jinqiao International Lantern Festival gathered international expats in Shanghai on Feb 9 at Lala Port, a shopping mall in the city's Pudong New Area.
Darius Rojek from the American Bureau of Shipping joined the celebration with his family.
"I've been living in Shanghai for 17 years and I always enjoy celebrating Chinese New Year," Rojek said. They also took part in solving riddles written on the lanterns and other traditional games.
The event also featured a charity auction, handicrafts, and game sessions for families, and talent shows by participants including Shanghai Concord International School students.
"Jinqiao is a great international community and has always done a great job in creating a festive atmosphere," said Curt Larson, vice-principal of the school. "Everyone gathers together happily, and the students also enjoy it. We have prepared programs carefully."
