In the first two months of 2025, Shanghai's cruise ports welcomed 130 cruise ships, carrying a total of 351,000 inbound and outbound travelers, year-on-year increases of 210 percent and 160 percent, respectively.

On March 10, three cruise ships ― the Adora Magic City, MSC Bellissima, and Blue Dream Melody ― docked at Shanghai terminals.

The first two arrived at the Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal in the morning, while the latter returned to the North Bund International Cruise Terminal in the afternoon.

Together, they brought in 9,082 cruise passengers and saw 5,240 travelers departing China from Shanghai.

Shanghai's cruise ports are the largest in Asia and fourth largest in the world, accounting for over 70 percent of China's total cruise passengers.

This year, the Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal has served as the home port for five international cruises: Adora Magic City, MSC Bellissima, Spectrum of the Seas, Piano Land, and Blue Dream Melody.

Since February, the North Bund International Cruise Terminal has welcomed the Crystal Symphony, Europa 2, and other cruise ships, bringing in over 1,500 passengers from more than 10 countries, including the United States, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
