Legoland Shanghai Resort announced that it will launch internal testing and trial operations on May 31, marking the final phase before its grand opening on July 5.

A select group of guests will be invited to experience the park ahead of the official launch, helping to fine-tune operations and guest experiences.

Covering 318,000 square meters in the city's Jinshan district, the resort includes a theme park and a hotel designed for children ages 2 to 12 and their families. It features more than 75 interactive rides, shows and attractions, along with thousands of Lego models built from over 85 million Lego bricks across eight immersive themed zones.

Construction began in 2021 and took nearly 1,300 days, involving over 10,000 workers from 15 countries and regions.

Key highlights include the world's first Big Lego Coaster, featuring giant Lego Minifigures, and the 60-meter-tall Legoland Observation Tower offering panoramic views of the entire resort.

At the center of the park is Miniland, which showcases miniature Lego recreations of global landmarks and iconic Chinese cities. A world-exclusive live show, Shanghai Dreamscapes, will also premiere there.

The park will debut the world's first Lego Monkie Kid live show, Battle for Flower Fruit Mountain, which incorporates large-scale props and immersive projection effects.

The Legoland Hotel offers 250 themed rooms, interactive installations, and recreation facilities. Across the resort, dining options include Lego brick-shaped burgers and Chinese dishes with Lego-inspired presentations.

According to the official website, adult tickets will be priced at 599 yuan ($83) during peak season and 319 yuan during off-peak times. Children's tickets will be priced at about 80 percent of adult rates.
