China has begun trial implementation of a visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay, adding new members to its growing circle of visa-exempt partners.

From June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, citizens of these five countries can enter China without a visa for up to 30 days for purposes including business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, and transit.

This is the first time China has extended its unilateral visa-free policy to countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region. With this expansion, the number of countries eligible for visa-free entry to China now stands at 43.
