Airline to launch direct Shanghai-Casablanca flight
Shanghai Airlines, a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, will launch a direct flight between Shanghai and Morocco's Casablanca starting Sept 25, significantly cutting travel time.
The current service, which requires a transfer in the French city of Marseille, will continue to operate every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.
The new route will offer one round trip every Thursday, bringing the number of weekly flights between Shanghai and Casablanca operated by China Eastern to four.
Flight FM881 will depart Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport at 12:50 am (Beijing time) and arrive in Casablanca at 8:20 am local time, with a flight time of about 15 hours.
The return flight, FM 882, will leave Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport at 10:20 am local time and land in Shanghai at 6:35 am (Beijing time) the next day, taking approximately 12 hours.
The service will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, equipped with high-speed Wifi.
