Passengers can now use the Shanghai Public Transportation QR Code to travel on public bus routes in Suzhou, Changzhou, and Kunshan city in neighboring Jiangsu province.

The QR code, issued by the Shanghai Public Transportation Card Company and compliant with the Ministry of Transport, enables seamless cross-city travel.

Jiangsu province is accelerating system upgrades in other cities, aiming to achieve full interoperability of the transport QR code across the province as soon as possible.

The QR code is available on multiple platforms, including the Shanghai Public Transport Card app and UnionPay app, allowing users to scan and ride conveniently.

This initiative builds on the previous interconnections between Shanghai and Ningbo and Jiaxing in Zhejiang province, as well as Taizhou in Jiangsu province.
