Shanghai Metro has introduced its cultural and creative merchandise to vending machines at 10 stations, enabling passengers to purchase metro-themed souvenirs during their daily commutes.

At a vending machine at Wujiaochang Station on Line 10, travelers can select from 15 categories of products, including fridge magnets, bookmarks, and keychain charms, with prices ranging from 5 yuan ($0.73) to 59 yuan.

Among the bestsellers are blind boxess containing flowing-sand hanging ornaments featuring metro train fronts.

Each box also includes a special commemorative card that entitles the holder to one complimentary ride on the Shanghai Metro.

The vending machines are designed to appeal to younger riders, encouraging spontaneous purchases during routine travel.

The metro operator plans to expand vending machines to more stations in the coming months. Passengers may also purchase these products at selected in-station convenience stores or through the Shanghai Metro official app,Shanghai Metro Daduhui.

The Shanghai Metro Museum will continue to develop new metro-themed merchandise, including an artistic ornament made from retired metro rails that fuses Shanghai identity with rail-transit aesthetics.
