Pudong airport expands cross-airline transfer service
Shanghai Pudong International Airport expanded its cross-airline, cross-terminal transfer service on June 16, extending coverage from a single route to 10 destinations across three continents while adding four domestic cities to the network.
The service was first introduced on April 30 for passengers traveling on the Qingdao–Shanghai–Singapore route.
It is now also available for eligible journeys between the following domestic cities and international destinations via Pudong airport, in either direction:
Domestic cities: Zhengzhou, Changsha, Xiamen, and Lanzhou
International destinations: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Toronto, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, and Brussels
The service applies to eligible connecting flights operated by China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, and Juneyao Air. Passengers traveling on qualifying itineraries that involve connections between these airlines can complete check-in for both flights at their departure airport and have their checked baggage transferred directly to their final destination.
