China Eastern Airlines announced on Aug 17 that its AI air travel service is now available to international travelers through a collaboration with Kayak, a United States-based online travel search platform, marking a major breakthrough in the Shanghai-based carrier's overseas digital marketing efforts.

Officially launched earlier this month, the service marks China Eastern's first collaboration with a leading overseas search platform. Kayak's AI chat capabilities provide overseas travelers with flight search and trip-planning services via interactive chat, streamlining the booking process.

Kayak operates in key markets, including Europe, North America, Australia, and Southeast Asia. China Eastern's direct integration with Kayak will enable overseas users to accurately search for flight status and fares through AI-powered conversations and then complete bookings on China Eastern's overseas website.

The new service is part of the airline's digitalization and innovation efforts to explore AI applications and continuously improve the passenger travel experience through greater intelligence and convenience.
