Shanghai's Pudong New Area is hosting The International 2026, Dota 2's annual world championship, from Aug 13 to 23, followed by Valorant Champions 2026 in October. The two events are expected to inject fresh momentum into the integrated development of culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions.

The district is pooling resources across key commercial hubs, including Lujiazui, the Qiantan area, and the Expo area, while rolling out measures to boost inbound consumption, expand ticket-stub promotions, and create additional esports-themed consumer experiences.

During TI 2026, spectators with event ticket stubs valid for two days can enjoy discounts, free experiences, parking concessions, and other perks at partner merchants throughout Pudong.

At Taikoo Li Qiantan, seven major merchants have launched exclusive esports promotions, and restaurants such as Coucou Hotpot have extended their hours to midnight to accommodate late-night dining.

At New Bund 31, 12 merchants are offering ticket-stub discounts. At Expo Place, ticket holders can enjoy free parking and dining discounts, which can be combined with other offers, from Aug 20 to 23.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport has rolled out a range of shopping vouchers for travelers, covering duty-free shops and retail outlets, allowing overseas visitors to enjoy discounts on arrival. Pudong is also expanding its tax-refund network for departing travelers, creating a smoother shopping experience for international visitors.
