The Putuo sub-venue of the 3rd Shanghai International Light Festival kicked off on Sept 24 at TOP (Taopu) Central Park. It will be open to the public daily from 7 pm to 10 pm until Oct 3.

The festival features 10 attractions, including Shanghai's first large-scale suspended light art installation over water, a large musical water-screen fountain show, and hot-air-balloon installations.

At the Putuo sub-venue, a thematic market showcases the distinctive local products, culture, and cuisine of cities along the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt.

The organizers have also opened a shuttle bus service for the light festival, making it easier for people to attend.

Following the festival, TOP Central Park will host a music festival. Together, the programs are expected to boost nighttime consumption and establish a new destination for autumn evening outings.
