A skill competition focused on embodied intelligence, bringing together technologies, ideas, and ecosystems from across the sector, will be held in Shanghai from Oct 23 to Oct 25, showcasing the sector's innovative practices and vibrant ecosystems to the world, organizers said.

With the International Embodied Intelligence Competition as the key event, the 2026 Global Developer Pioneers Summit will hold an opening ceremony and multiple developer activities. The conference aims to serve as a demonstration platform for real-world applications of embodied intelligence, supporting technological innovation and large-scale implementation of robots and embodied intelligence in China.

The International Embodied Intelligence Competition centers on practical requirements in industrial, service, and special operations. More than 200 teams and 300 robotics companies are expected to compete across 23 categories, with the event aiming to create 100 high-value scenarios and deploy tens of thousands of units.

The conference, spanning key sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and services, will systematically connect technology, developers, industry, capital, and real-world scenarios. It aims to help cutting-edge global technologies find applications in China and elevate Shanghai's position as a global leader in AI innovation.
