Iconic Bund architecture finds its way onto Swiss watch
The iconic Bund architecture has made its way into Swatch's watch design, bringing a touch of Shanghai charm to the Swiss brand.
Designed by Feng Bin, the watch features more than 20 Bund buildings in different architectural styles, with the signature rooftop of the Swatch Art Peace Hotel taking center stage on the dial.
It forms part of a new collection of works, created by six Chinese artists at the invitation of the Swatch Art Peace Hotel. Having spent time at the hotel through its artist residency program, they infused these wearable works of art with their experiences and individual styles.
Located on the Nanjing Road section of the Bund, the Swatch Art Peace Hotel has been a hub for artists to live and create since it opened on Nov 1, 2011.
Carlo Giordanetti, CEO of the hotel, said the collection brings together colorful and creative expression, traditional culture, and contemporary art, with each piece carrying its own story. He hopes these watches will resonate with more people who appreciate creativity, art, and self-expression.
