Training center aims to upgrade home services with intelligent technology
The nation's first smart home service training center, designed to integrate digital and intelligent technologies into home services, was officially launched in Shanghai on Oct 12.
The center is jointly built by JD's home service unit, a Chinese e-commerce giant, and Shanghai's Yangpu district government. It provides training in daily cleaning, home appliance cleaning, organizing and storage, maternal and child care, elder care, and pet services.
Jiang Fan, a training instructor at JD's home services, said the center aims to integrate human-machine collaboration into housekeeping skills training and to generate new value from professional experience through digital and intelligent embedded training.
"The new training center is expected to offer specialized home service training to 8,000 people or more annually," Jiang said.
Under a collaborative model, the center is supported by the government, built and operated by the enterprise, and open to the public. It aims to be a platform that combines skills training, employment promotion, and industry demonstration to cultivate housekeeping talent, contributing to the upgrade of home service professionals' skills and high-quality employment.
JD holds more than 200,000 training sessions nationwide through its home service training bases each year, creating 100,000 job opportunities annually.
