The "2024 Shanghai International Cosmetic Festival & Jing'an 5+5 Shopping Festival" commenced in Jing'an District on April 25, marking the start of a vibrant celebration of beauty and glamour.

This year's festival, which will last till May 8, has drawn 27 renowned domestic and international companies, including industry giants such as L'Oréal, Estée Lauder, Guerlain, and Shiseido. Some brands like HR, CPB, and WHOO made their debuts.

The festival will feature a rich array of activities, including the launch of 33 new products, the unveiling of pop-up stores for leading beauty brands, and livestreaming sessions for the new product launches.

The 2024 Shanghai International Cosmetic Festival has collaborated with the Agricultural Bank of China and major commercial platforms in Jing'an district to introduce an array of consumer promotional activities, aiming to create a dynamic and immersive experience for beauty enthusiasts and foster a deeper connection between consumers and the festival's offerings.

In recent years, the district has taken proactive steps to develop the cosmetics industry. In 2022, Jing'an unveiled the Implementation Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Cosmetics Industry. The plan has facilitated the congregation of international and high-end brands in the Nanjing West Road commercial district.

The district's efforts have yielded fruitful results, with the Nanjing West Road commercial district attracting 14 first stores in the cosmetics industry, including an Asian first store and seven Chinese first stores.
