Shanghai's Bund Finance Center (BFC) has ingeniously converted its riverside terrace into a vibrant stage for cultural exchange and athletic excellence by offering an open and complimentary Muay Thai course.
On May 26, BFC's fifth floor terrace, renowned for its panoramic river vistas, transformed into an interactive arena where 20 participants learned Muay Thai under the guidance of expert Thai coaches.
These mentors have participated in more than 100 professional matches collectively. Zhang Bowen, the esteemed leader of B.W.House Muay Thai Gym, remarked, "Muay Thai training is traditionally an outdoor pursuit, grounded in nature. By introducing this practice to the BFC terrace, we've created a unique fusion of serenity and metropolitan vibrancy."

The session, lasting 90 minutes, encompassed an introduction to Muay Thai essentials, hands-on combat techniques, and the wai khru ram muay, a ritual performed by participants before fighting in Muay Thai competitions.
Offered at no cost, this open course will span three weekends and is poised to be an enthralling affair that should not be overlooked.
