Iconic flower market returns to Shanghai's Xintiandi area

The Xintiandi area of East China's Shanghai will welcome the return of its iconic flower market this summer – offering a blend of nostalgia and contemporary urban life.

The market, a revival of the Wan Shang Flower and Bird Market and the Dongtai Road Market, will run from May 31 to June 2 and from June 8 to 10.

Covering an area of nearly 2,000 square meters, the Xintiandi Flower Market will feature a diverse array of over 100 plant species and nearly 600,000 plants. Shoppers can expect to find everything from trendy greenery to rare botanicals, all at competitive prices.

The event is designed to be pet-friendly, with ample space for pets to play and a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. The market aims to become a staple summer attraction in Taipingqiao Park in Huangpu district – inviting everyone to explore the vibrant flora and engage in creative activities.
