Twenty-one high-end restaurants, typically requiring advance reservations and costing nearly 1,000 yuan ($137.62) per person, gathered together to offer residents and tourists with a high-quality and budget-friendly culinary experience.
The market bustled with activity as 15 Chinese and six Western Black Pearl-rated restaurants showcased their cuisines. Half of the offerings were priced under 50 yuan, including a diverse range of dishes from regions such as Huaiyang (encompassing cities like Yangzhou, Huai'an, Taizhou, and Zhenjiang, located downstream of the Huaihe and Yangtze Rivers), Ningbo, Yunnan, Shanghai, Guangdong, and even France.

Despite the occasional drizzle, crowds flocked to sample specialties like Chaoshan beef meatballs, crispy roast suckling pig, and various other delicacies prepared by renowned chefs.
The event allowed popular and expensive restaurants to connect with a broader audience, reflecting a new trend in fine dining that emphasizes value for money.
This market is part of a larger initiative, with similar events planned for other cities across China, aiming to bridge the gap between high-end dining and accessibility for food enthusiasts.
