The fabulous Shanghai Jing'an World Coffee Culture Festival kicked off on April 7 and will run to May 5 — bringing together an exciting mix of coffee, culture, creativity and community across the city.

This year's festival spotlights the iconic Feng Sheng Li•Jing An Temple Square and Jiuguang Department Store. It also extends to major locations including:

  • Starbucks Reserve Roastery
  • Yongyuan Road
  • Jing'an Joy City
  • Suhewan MixC World
  • Jiuguang Center
  • Daning Music Plaza

Expect a collaborative celebration involving major shopping areas, coffee shops, hotels, art institutions and travel agencies. With a mix of online and on-site deals, this is said to be a full-scale cultural, commercial and sensory adventure.

Highlights:

  • A creative mascot will make its debut, leading pop-up parades that bring the spirit of coffee culture to life on the streets of Jing'an.
  • The historic brand Lei Yun Shang will present "Always at Your Service", a special crossover experience where herbal medicine meets modern brews. Try Traditional Chinese Medicine-inspired coffee and explore a hands-on, immersive experience.
  • Shanghai's first AI-generated idol, NEVER, takes you on a futuristic "Coffee + Tech" city walk, blending digital art with street life.
  • Popular mobile game Happy Match will join the festival for the first time with on-site gaming experiences, while wellness brand BYMB will bring a sensory Five-Sense Yoga Therapy to balance your mind and body.
  • CBNData will unveil the 2025 Shanghai Coffee Consumption Trend Map, offering an inside look at what's brewing in the city's coffee economy.

This year, your coffee isn't just a drink — it's a pass. Festivalgoers who make purchases at the main venues — Feng Sheng Li•Jing An Temple Square and Jiuguang Department Store — can redeem their receipts for exclusive deals at:

In addition, for the first time, Jing'an district administration of culture and tourism is teaming up with Lan Huohua, a lifestyle platform under Alipay, to offer:
