Social media platform Xiaohongshu will host Red Land, the world's first open-world adventure island event, from Aug 8 to 10 on Fuxing Island in Shanghai's Yangpu district. Fuxing Island serves as a pilot zone, uniquely designed to blend the digital world with real-life spaces.

Spanning an impressive 80,000 square meters, this large-scale ACGN (Animation, Comics, Games, and Novels) event will feature over 20 popular anime franchises and more than 30 hit video game titles, including Honor of Kings, Genshin Impact, Cyberpunk 2077, and others.

Participants will step into the shoes of game characters, tackling puzzles, completing tasks, and gathering items, all while savoring the thrill of becoming the hero of their own adventure.

Throughout the event, Yangpu district will distribute 5 million yuan ($696,501.62) in vouchers for ACGN-related products, shopping, and accommodations. In addition, several local attractions and businesses, such as the Wujiaochang shopping area, Shanghai International Fashion Center, Wanda Cinemas, the WorldSkills Museum, the Dunhuang Contemporary Art Museum, and the Museum of China Press and Publication, will offer exclusive discounts for ticket holders.

Special activities will include a shuttle service at Wanda Plaza's Whale Square, along with pop-up events, themed meals, and multimedia performances. A partnership with the Jiushi Group will even transform bus routes 55 and 20 into anime-themed transport, providing easy travel for ACGN fans to and from the event.

After the event wraps up, popular ACGN-themed installations will remain in the Wujiaochang area until the end of August, along with continued discounts at museums and shopping malls, allowing fans to keep enjoying the immersive ACGN culture and city-wide excitement.
