Pudong Shipping Week to kick off on Dec 1
Pudong Shipping Week 2025, themed "Boundless Blue Oceans: Shaping the Future of Global Shipping", will kick off on Dec 1, aiming to strengthen China's role in the global maritime sector.
The six-day forum is expected to draw over 6,000 participants, including more than 850 international attendees. It will feature more than 40 activities, about 70 percent of which are organized by new participants.
The event signals stronger global engagement as the official operator of London Shipping Week joins for the first time, hosting an international maritime roundtable summit and a business networking reception, the organizers said.
More than 20 accomplishments and 30 cooperation agreements are scheduled for release during the week. Among them are a shipping industry fund and a series of reports focused on green technology and pathways toward net-zero emissions, furthering the gathering's impact.
Pudong New Area will also host a 180-square-meter display at the Marintec China from Dec 2 to 5, highlighting key shipping firms and partnership prospects within the district.
The Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Government and the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission have jointly organized the Pudong Shipping Week since 2023, attracting more than 10,000 shipping professionals from over 20 countries in its prior two iterations.
