SUFE launches Chinese Language Summer Program

The Chinese Language Summer Program was launched on July 2 at the International Cultural Exchange School (ICES), Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE).

Ninety-seven teachers and students from the Confucius Institute of Business London, the University of Wollongong in Australia, the Confucius Institute of Oriental Languages and Culture in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Bangkok University in Thailand gathered to embark on an enriching journey of Chinese cultural exploration.

A student representative from Bangkok University, participating in the program for the second time, shared her enthusiasm and encouraged her peers to study Chinese diligently. She emphasized that mastering the language not only enhances individual skills but also positions them as ambassadors of cultural exchange, building bridges between diverse cultures and peoples.

The summer program is designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of China, bringing them closer to this ancient civilization and fostering cultural exchanges between China and the world.

Over the coming weeks, the program will offer a rich array of courses and activities, including Chinese language courses, corporate visits, intangible cultural heritage experiences, and explorations of ancient towns in Jiangnan, a vast region south of the Yangtze River.
