The Chinese Bridge summer camp – co-hosted by Donghua University and the Confucius Institute Leipzig in Germany – recently welcomed over 20 students from Germany and Austria. 

Donghua University prepared a grand welcome luncheon for the guests. The Chinese delicacies on the table not only reportedly delighted their taste buds but also brought everyone closer together.

After lunch, the international students embarked on the first stop of their journey to explore Shanghai – experiencing the subway system of the international metropolis.

As they navigated the subway, the students praised the convenience and efficiency of Shanghai's modern transportation. The passing scenery also offered them glimpses of the city's vibrant prosperity and unique charm.

During the following two-week summer camp, the students will study Chinese alongside international peers from around the world.

While making new friends, they'll gain a deeper understanding of Chinese society and culture, especially Shanghai's unique fashion culture, through a series of lectures and visits. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to visit Suzhou city in East China's Jiangsu province and appreciate the unique charms of the Jiangnan water towns.
