01 Course offerings

1. Basic Chinese courses (morning): Comprehensive courses at beginner, elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels covering grammar, conversation, listening, and Chinese characters.

2. Free elective courses (afternoon): Shanghainese, Chinese character writing, Chinese pronunciation practice, Chinese calligraphy, tai chi, Chinese paper-cutting, Chinese corner activities, etc.

02 Schedule

Registration deadlines:

- Spring semester: Dec 31, 2024

- Fall semester: June 30, 2025

Course registration date:

- Spring semester: Feb 24-25, 2025

- Fall semester: Sept 10-12, 2025

Program duration

- Spring semester: March 3 – June 27, 2025 (Grade reports available on June 29)

- Fall semester: Sept 22, 2025 – Jan 16, 2026 (Grade reports available on Jan 18)

- 20 class periods per week (1 class period is 45 minutes)

03 Eligibility

1. High school diploma or above

2. Age between 18 and 50 (short-term study: 16-60 years old)

3. In good health, with reliable financial support and a guardian.

04 Application materials

- Complete the application form online at the admissions website http://apply.shisu.edu.cn

- Prepare the following materials in advance:

1. Copy of graduation certificate

2. Copy of passport

3. Online payment of the application fee of 450 yuan (or $75 for international transfers, upload payment proof)

* The university may request additional materials if necessary.

* The application fee is non-refundable.

05 Fees

One semester: 10,000 yuan ($1379.25)

One academic year: 20,000 yuan

One month: 3,700 yuan

Two months: 6,000 yuan

Three months: 7,600 yuan
