Modern life meets rural charm in Shanghai's Cenbu village

About an hour's drive from downtown Shanghai, Cenbu village is located in Qingpu district. While scouting locations for study tours, Jeremy Friedlein of Donghua University visited the village, where he stopped by a boutique village cafe, explored an "insect hotel" in a firefly forest, and savored a traditional farmhouse meal.
"I am amazed at the infrastructure that allows the countryside to be almost as modern as the city," Jeremy noted.
