Shopping mall and luxury design outlets complex Florentia Village Shanghai, located in the city's Pudong New Area, has officially begun construction on its Phase III expansion, covering an area of 59,000 square meters.

The new phase will add nearly 1,800 parking spaces, bringing the total floor space of the shopping complex — which has been built with Italian-inspired architecture — to over 100,000 sq m, while also enhancing its brand offerings.

Since opening in 2015, Florentia Village has become a premier international shopping, leisure and entertainment destination — blending high-end brands with Italian-inspired cultural experiences.

The project, which began with an investment agreement in 2013, has been developed in two phases and continues to attract fashion- conscious shoppers seeking special experiences.

Scheduled to open in the first half of 2026, Phase III will maintain the design themes of previous phases, incorporating Italian architectural styles and introducing new duplex shop layouts.

As one of the few tax-refund registered stores in Pudong and the nearest outlet mall to Shanghai Pudong Airport, Florentia Village has become a popular destination for both domestic and international visitors.

In 2024, the mall processed 11,700 tax-refund transactions, a fourfold increase on 2023. Most shoppers come from Southeast Asia, as well as from Taiwan and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
