Lee Gardens complex opens in Jing'an district
A great new urban landmark has emerged in the heart of Shanghai's Jing'an district with the opening of Lee Gardens.
It's a modern city complex that combines a semi-open street atmosphere, a distinctive Shikumen-inspired design and diverse dining and social experiences.

Unlike traditional high-end business complexes, Lee Gardens is designed to be a "day-and-night space" — aimed at creating an all-day social hub. The complex is said to offer a chick and sophisticated gathering spot for both casual and business-minded individuals, blending modern flair with the rich heritage of the city.
The eastern main entrance greets visitors with a striking combination of brown-red arches and gray-white stone flooring, showcasing the best of Shanghai's iconic architectural style while maintaining modern vitality.
The ceiling lights are inspired by classic Shikumen arches and the glass-brick lightboxes offer a beautiful interplay of the material's transparent quality with the warm hue of the red bricks.
Inside the spacious street-level atrium, an expansive outdoor public space allows natural light to pour in — featuring lush greenery and comfortable seating arrangements that encourage relaxation and informal socializing.

On the third floor, a hidden rooftop garden provides a peaceful retreat. The interplay of light and shadow from the bamboo trees, combined with the semi-open rooftop design, creates a tranquil space for visitors.
Wooden flooring and minimalist outdoor furniture complement the natural surroundings, enhancing the overall experience and fostering social interaction in a calming environment.
The commercial area of Lee Gardens spans three above-ground floors and two underground levels, displaying a variety of brands, including Cafe Hori and Peet's Coffee, as well as popular eateries like Blac+Blac and Fatty Leow.
Of these, the wine bar Blac+Blac is ranked first on Dianping's creative cuisine list in the West Nanjing Road area, while COMMUNE•X ranks fourth for its all-day dining and wine service. The classic Cantonese restaurant Xin Shun Ji is also drawing attention from discerning foodies.
In addition, Lee Gardens is catering to the growing demand for fitness and wellness experiences. The complex is home to NAGA THAI SPA, which offers Thai massage services, as well as indoor fitness experiences like INBUNGEE, an aerial trampoline gym and SPINTONIC, an indoor tennis training facility.
In the near future, Lee Gardens will also host an aerospace-themed art exhibition, introducing special cultural experiences to the complex and aiming to offer visitors an opportunity to enrich their artistic sensibilities while enjoying the superb retail and leisure activities.
