Kiady Ratovoson, an international student from Madagascar, began studying at the College of Fashion and Design at Donghua University (DHU) in 2018, where he majored in environment design. As a highly comprehensive discipline, this major requires students to master various aspects, such as spatial planning, material selection and aesthetic principles. Kiady embraced these intricate concepts with firm determination and boundless enthusiasm.

Kiady was also actively involved in student activities, earning the "Social Work Excellence" award during his time at DHU. His photography works have also been recognized as excellent photography pieces by the International Student Photography Association. These accolades not only validate his past efforts, but also serve as motivation for his future growth and development.

Kiady said, "Donghua University is more than just my alma mater; it has been a pivotal support system for me during my personal growth journey. The vibrant atmosphere and diverse community at DHU have broadened my horizons and enriched my perspective. Not only has it honed my skills as a designer, but it has also shaped me into a more resilient and adaptable individual. My time at DHU has truly been a school of life, where I have not only learned about design, but also about myself."

After completing his undergraduate study at DHU, Kiady pursued a master's degree at Politecnico di Milano. Throughout his studies in Milan, he not only acquired proficiency in design concepts and technologies, but also forged connections with like-minded collaborators.

After years of dedicated study and practical experience, Kiady has amassed a wealth of design expertise. He has established his own brand, KR.Atelier, by leveraging his unique design concepts and boundless creativity to create unique wooden furniture pieces. KR.Atelier aims to showcase the skills and talents of Malagasy artisans, while also promoting excellence and high-quality craftsmanship.
