Intl students of Donghua University explore ancient art of shadow puppetry
Donghua University recently hosted a cultural workshop where international students delved into the art of shadow puppetry, learning about both its creation and performance.
Recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in China, shadow puppetry traces its origins back to the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220). This folk art form employs silhouette figures crafted from animal hides or cardboard to narrate captivating stories.
