Hailing from countries including France, Turkiye, and Italy, 44 students from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) attended the 2024 Dishui Lake Emerging Finance Annual Conference on Dec 6.
Held from Dec 6 to 7 at the Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the conference was organized in part by SUFE's Dishui Lake Advanced Finance Institute. Following the conference, the students visited the Shanghai Astronomy Museum, where they explored the history of China's astronomical endeavors and engaged in interactive activities, experiencing the wonders of science firsthand.
A finance master's student from Pakistan noted that the conference themes were closely aligned with her field of study and academic development, making her participation both enjoyable and enriching.
A South Korean international business student remarked that the visit to the museum, with its star observations and universe simulations, made distant stars and celestial bodies feel within reach, offering an amazing experience of being immersed in the cosmos.
