International students from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics recently explored career and academic opportunities in the Lin-gang Special Area through the "Seed Future Lin-gang" talent program — "Drifting at Lin-gang upon the Sea-Lake Appeal".

Students from Spain, Italy, Russia, Turkiye, Mexico and other countries gained firsthand insights into the convergence of advanced finance education and emerging financial infrastructure in this dynamic zone.

The visit offered students the opportunity to connect with the Dishui Lake Advanced Finance Institute, which was established in Lin-gang two years ago as part of SUFE's long-term commitment to supporting this rapidly growing financial hub.

Over the two-day program, students participated in a variety of activities, including academic exchanges with deans and alumni at the institute, a cultural visit to the China Maritime Museum, a boating excursion on Dishui Lake, and an industry tour of the Lin-gang AI Innovation Hub.

Students shared that the visit helped bridge academic theory with real-world application. "Finance here isn't an abstract textbook concept," one participant said. "It's unfolding in real time within this dynamic coastal hub that connects Shanghai to global markets."

The Human Resources Department of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration reaffirmed its support for the "Seed Future Lin-gang" program, which aims to attract more international students and encourage them to contribute their global perspectives and expertise to Lin-gang's development as an international financial center.
