A Thai student's journey of diligence, excellence, and growth at Shanghai University

Voraluk Vongviriyah, from Thailand, graduated in 2025 from Shanghai University. Her four-year study journey was marked by diligence, excellence, and personal growth.

Voraluk was honored as a "2025 Outstanding Graduate of Shanghai International Students" for her excellent academic performance and comprehensive qualities. She is now pursuing a master's degree at the Sydney Institute of Language and Commerce (SILC) Business School of Shanghai University.

Believing that language learning requires practical application, Voraluk actively participated in various on- and off-campus activities to hone her skills. She earned several awards, including third place in the Stories of China Retold in English, and served as a host for many events. In June 2025, she delivered a speech as the outstanding undergraduate representative at her graduation ceremony.

Voraluk has been a strong advocate for cultural exchange throughout her studies. She participated in many international cultural fairs, organized the Thailand booth, and used her language skills to engage in cross-cultural events such as the Shanghai University and Bangkok University meeting and student recruitment exchange activities.

Reflecting on her growth, Voraluk expressed gratitude to her instructors who had guided her in exploring the essence of the her discipline, as well as thecounselors whose care and support inspired her. Their passion for education and professionalism inspired her to build confidence and achieve comprehensive growth during her studies.

Voraluk said that her four years at SHU gave her a profound appreciation for the university's strength in academic research, talent cultivation, international cooperation, and multicultural exchange. Motivated by this experience, she continued her studies at SHU's postgraduate program, seeking broader opportunities to further enhance her capabilities and gain experience.

Looking forward, Voraluk aims to carry her diligence and courage into new challenges, growing into a professional with a global perspective and strong cross-cultural communication skills. As a Thai student, she also looks forward to leveraging her cultural background and language proficiency to promote China-Thailand exchange, contributing to cooperation in education, culture, and the economy.
