Kaws, also known as Brian Donnelly, is a renowned artist and designer from the United States celebrated for his distinctive blend of street art and commercial design.

His most iconic creation, Companion, is a stylized figure resembling Mickey Mouse, with a skull-like head and X-ed out eyes. This character has become central to his art and merchandise, including limited-edition vinyl toys that have gained immense popularity among collectors.

One of the event's highlights is the global launch of the first-ever Kaws: Holiday mooncake set, available exclusively at the pop-up shop starting at 8:30 pm on Aug 28. This unique set includes four mini custard mooncakes, each adorned with Kaws' signature "XX" design, all presented in a circular gift box symbolizing the Mid-Autumn Festival.

To celebrate the Shanghai stop, Kaws has collaborated with Hong Kong-based creative studio AllRightsReserved and ARR's online retail platform, DDT Store, to release limited edition collectibles. These include the highly sought-after Companion figure featuring a glow-in-the-dark moon element, as well as a limited edition hoodie and ceramic mugs. These items will be available both online and in-store, but they are expected to sell out quickly.
