Starbucks China has introduced its new "interest-based community space" program, transforming more than 1,800 stores nationwide into themed spaces designed for pet lovers, craft enthusiasts, cyclists, and runners.

Yang Zhen, Starbucks China's chief growth officer, explained that the company's concept of community now extends beyond geography to shared interests. The initiative aims to create customized spaces where young people can easily connect with like-minded friends.

As the location of Starbucks China headquarters, Shanghai's Xuhui district was among the first to roll out the program, tailoring store themes to local lifestyles.
