Shanghai International Flower Show to bloom in Xintiandi area

The Huangpu main venue of the 2025 Shanghai International Flower Show will transform the city's Xintiandi area from April 18 to May 11 into a dynamic, immersive green space — with "Blooming Xintiandi" as its theme.
As one of the show's two major venues, plans are for the historic Shikumen neighborhood to come alive with floral art, sustainable designs and a rich blend of culture, commerce and tourism.
Kicking off the flower show, Dongtai Market • Blooming Whisper will debut at the Xintiandi Galleria. It will reimagine the once-bustling Dongtai Road — a beloved antiques and flower market in Laochengxiang, the oldest residential area in Huangpu.
Running for eight days — on April 18-20 and May 1-5 — this big outdoor flower market will occupy over 2,000 square meters beneath Shanghai's largest sky dome, featuring more than 60 brands and over 70 stalls.

Paying tribute to Dongtai Road's legacy, the market will show over 100 types of seasonal flowers and more than 800,000 plants, transforming the urban landscape into a lush green oasis.
What's more, starting April 18, over 20 brands in the Xintiandi area will collaborate on special floral-themed window displays — bringing artistic floral scenes to storefronts along Huaihai Road, Sinan Mansions and throughout the district.
Each installation will offer a unique take on spring, providing visitors with a colorful walking tour full of photo opportunities.
To further connect nature and commerce, cafes and restaurants such as Gaga Coast, COVA and Punch Monday Bakery will introduce exclusive flower-themed desserts and drinks during the show.
Fashion and beauty brands will also launch limited-edition products inspired by floral motifs, offering visitors a full-sensory celebration of spring.
