Major exhibitions in Shanghai this March

Shanghai will be bustling with major exhibitions in March, spanning advertising, textiles, consumer electronics, food ingredients, photonics, hardware, semiconductors, and tourism. Below are selected highlights with key facts and schedules.

 

Shanghai International Ad & Sign Technology & Equipment Exhibition

When: March 4 to 7

Where: National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), No 333 Songze Avenue, Qingpu district

Also known as the APPP Expo, the exhibition will take place across 230,000 square meters and is expected to gather around 2,000 exhibitors and more than 209,000 professional visitors. Certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, it has a 32-year history and serves as a flagship event in the advertising and signage industry.

This year's exhibition will spotlight emerging opportunities in the creative economy, digital economy, and green economy. Exhibits will cover inkjet printing, cutting and engraving, materials, signage systems, display solutions, commercial retail applications, and more.

China International Textile and Apparel Expo (Shanghai)

When: March 11 to 13

Where: National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), No 333 Songze Avenue, Qingpu district

The expo will bring together five specialized trade shows: Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, CHIC, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles, Yarn Expo, and PH Value. Together, they will form a comprehensive platform covering the entire textile and apparel supply chain.

With a total exhibition area of 380,000 sq m, the expo will host more than 5,000 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions. In addition to product showcases, it will feature trend releases and business matchmaking activities, providing an integrated setting for sourcing, information exchange, and industry collaboration.

Appliance & Electronics World Expo

When: March 12 to 15

Recognized as one of the world's top three home appliance and consumer electronics exhibitions, AWE 2026 will adopt a dual-venue format for the first time. The main venue will remain at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, while a special exhibition area will debut at the Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone.

Under the theme "Smart AI, Smarter Future", the expo will present smart home appliances, consumer electronics, and integrated solutions driven by artificial intelligence. The new venue will focus on frontier technologies and international exchange, leveraging the policy and institutional advantages of the Eastern Hub IBCZ to support global collaboration and product launches.

Food Ingredients China 2026

When: March 17 to 19

Where: National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), No 333 Songze Avenue, Qingpu district

FIC is widely regarded as a barometer of the food additives and ingredients sector. This year's exhibition will gather 1,592 exhibitors from around the world and tens of thousands of professional visitors. The exhibition will present new technologies, applications, and research outcomes across the industry, while advancing resource integration and fostering business cooperation.

2026 Shanghai International Trade Fair for Photonics Components, Systems, and Applications

When: March 18 to 20

Where: Shanghai New International Expo Center, No 2345 Longyang Road, Pudong New Area

Also known as Laser World of Photonics China, the exhibition has developed into a key event for the photonics industry in Asia. This year's edition will cover more than 100,000 sq m and host over 1,400 exhibitors from countries including the United States, Germany, Japan, Canada, and Singapore.

Focusing on new technologies and emerging trends, it will highlight photonics components, systems, and applications, while accelerating commercialization and supporting the sector's move toward higher-value and greater global integration.

The 39th China International Hardware Fair

When: March 17 to 19

Where: National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), No 333 Songze Avenue, Qingpu district

This year's edition will feature 8,600 booths and is expected to attract around 3,200 enterprises and more than 60,000 professional visitors.

Two main pavilions will spotlight power tools and hand tools, alongside five specialized zones covering abrasives, lifting equipment, labor protection and safety products, gardening and cleaning equipment, and lighting and low-voltage electrical appliances. It will present tens of thousands of products and expand overseas promotion to support both domestic and international trade.

SEMICON China 2026

When: March 25 to 27

Where: Shanghai New International Expo Center, No 2345 Longyang Road, Pudong New Area

SEMICON China 2026 will be held jointly with FPD China, forming a comprehensive platform for the semiconductor and flat panel display industries. FPD China, launched in 2004, focuses on display and touch panel manufacturing and has developed into a major professional event for China's flat panel display industry.

This year's joint exhibition will span more than 100,000 sq m and attract over 1,500 exhibitors. More than 20 concurrent forums will be held to facilitate technical exchange, industry cooperation, talent development, and research innovation.

Tourism Plus Shanghai 2026

When: March 29 to 31

The exhibition will take place across three major venues and cover the full tourism industry chain: catering, accommodation, transportation, attractions, shopping, and entertainment. More than 6,000 exhibitors will introduce hundreds of thousands of new products and services.

Tourism Plus has expanded steadily over the past five years, with the annual number of visitors rising from 370,000 in 2021 to 446,000 in 2025 and overseas participation spanning 148 countries and regions.
