Visa-free entry policy
China has been opening its doors wider to international travelers. So far, the country has expanded its unilateral visa-free policy to cover 50 countries. Ordinary passport holders from these countries can enter China without a visa for business, tourism, visiting relatives or friends, exchange visits, or transit, for stays of up to 30 days. The duration of stay is calculated from midnight on the day following the date of entry.
Here is a list of the unilateral visa-free countries:
Europe (35 countries): France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Sweden, the United Kingdom
Oceania (2 countries): Australia, New Zealand
Asia (7 countries): Brunei, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain
Americas (6 countries): Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Canada

Mutual visa-free policy
Under China's mutual visa exemption agreements with foreign countries, eligible foreign nationals may enter China visa-free if they meet the conditions set out in the relevant agreement.
